Hospitalist – Independent Practice Track (MedCBO Supported) Position Overview This is an independent practice opportunity for hospitalists wishing to own and operate their own medical practice with structured operational support from MedCBO. The physician will govern clinical operations, set patient‑care policies, and use MedCBO’s administrative services to manage non‑clinical functions. Key Responsibilities Provide hospitalist care within your scope of practice. Establish and maintain professional relationships within the medical community. Coordinate payer credentialing and ensure compliance with credentialing requirements. Determine and manage clinical services offered at the practice. Maintain clinical quality and patient‑experience standards. MedCBO Administrative Support Practice formation coordination and billing/collections management. Payer contract negotiation and financial‑infrastructure reporting. Operational workflows, staffing systems, and technology‑platform implementation. Requirements MD or DO with unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice. Board Certified or eligible in a specialty appropriate to the clinical services provided. Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable. Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates. No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice. Interest in the independent‑practice model. Preferred Desire for practice ownership and community‑based care interest. Leadership or program development interest. Location Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure. Compensation Compensation is not a salary and is generated by the physician‑owned practice.
