Oral Surgeon (Part‑time, 1–2 days per month) Boston, MA About the Role Tend is seeking a dedicated, patient‑focused Oral Surgeon to provide specialist orofacial procedures. The role combines clinical excellence with a culture of hospitality and collaboration to deliver a unique dental experience. Responsibilities Conduct patient consultations and develop individualized treatment plans. Perform orofacial surgical procedures, including tooth extraction, implant placement, tumor removal, and treatment of abnormal growths. Administer general and local anesthetics as needed. Prescribe medications for pain control and recovery. Treat infections of the oral cavity, salivary glands, jaw, face, and neck. Provide emergency care for orofacial injuries such as facial and intraoral lacerations. Collaborate with General Dentists and Orthodontists to enhance patient experience and treatment outcomes. Maintain detailed patient records for treatment planning and after‑care. Offer support and advice to patients requiring long‑term care. Contribute to a patient‑centric culture that aligns with Tend’s values of empathy, transparency, and integrity. Qualifications Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Board‑certified with successful completion of an accredited oral surgery program. Current dental license in the state of employment. CPR/BLS certification required. Technical proficiency with CBCT scanning technology. Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
