Bridges Healthcare, Inc. has an immediate opening for a part time APRN to provide psychiatric evaluation and psychotropic management services for children. $85.00 per hour 16 hour per week position, non-benefited Some evening hours required Purpose and Position Overview Provide psychiatric evaluation and psychotropic management services for children currently enrolled with outpatient psychotherapy, school-based psychotherapy, or IICAPS services within the Bridges Healthcare system. Duties and Responsibilities Perform psychiatric evaluations. Manage psychotropic prescribing. Coordinate with psychotherapists regarding diagnostic formulations and treatment planning. Respond to patient/family communications such as refill requests, questions about medications, etc. in a timely manner. Participate in clinical team meetings. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care and related communications. Perform any other department or agency-related duties or special projects as directed by your supervisor. Qualifications and Competencies Masters or Doctorate level degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Certification as either clinical nurse specialist (CNS) or nurse practitioner (NP) by American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Connecticut licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). Drug Enforcement Agency license (DEA) and Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration (CSR). Knowledge of psychiatric illnesses and practices for prescribing psychotropic medications in the child and adolescent population. Ability to create clear and concise documentation of all patient care and display basic computer literacy. Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize in times of competing demands. Desire for continuous learning and self-development. HRSA & STAR-LRP Approved Facility.
