Hospitalist Clinician‑Educator Track Institution: University of Miami Division: Hospital Medicine – Department of Medicine Reports to: Chief, Division of Hospital Medicine Position: Full‑time Summary of Responsibilities The hospitalist in the clinical track is responsible for providing direct inpatient medical care to adult patients on medical and surgical services, and for providing inpatient and outpatient consultations in a variety of settings. The clinician will also engage in education of medical students, residents, and fellows, and will lead an educational or administrative project within the Division. Key Responsibilities Provide direct inpatient care to adult non‑surgical hospitalized patients Consultation for hospitalized patients on any service Coordinate internal medicine subspecialty care Telephone consultation for non‑service unit patients Participate in quality improvement activities Participate in committee work Engage in medical student, resident, and fellow education Lead academic projects in education, quality and safety, or division/departmental administration Qualifications Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine MD or DO degree with completion of an ABIM‑recognized internal medicine residency Valid and unrestricted Florida Medical License (or eligibility to apply) Additional Information No age requirements are associated with this position.
