Radiologist Locum CoverageA stroke-certified general acute care hospital, is seeking a Radiologist to provide ongoing coverage beginning February . Coverage is needed due to a provider resignation.Schedule:Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PMOngoing coverage opportunityPractice Setting:Hospital-based with potential outpatient imaging coverage in an affiliated buildingStroke-certified facility (not a designated trauma center or chest pain center)EMR: CernerSupported by radiology nurses, technologists, and an affiliated Sacramento radiology group for overflow and after-hours readsClinical Responsibilities:Hospital imaging coverage including stroke CTs, emergency department, ICU, and general inpatient imagingOutpatient coverage may include supervising contrasted CTs, MRIs, and breast biopsiesInterpretation of approximately 50 imaging studies per day and performance of 4 6 procedures dailyCommon Studies & Procedures:CT, X-ray, and ultrasound interpretationLumbar puncturesBarium studiesImage-guided biopsies and drain placementsInterventional radiology procedures including thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, chest tubes, suprapubic catheter placement, abscess drainage, and thyroid/lung biopsiesPatient & Facility Volume:ED volume: Approximately patients dailyAverage inpatient/observation census: 50 patients (including ICU and OB)Admissions: per dayCase mix includes medical, surgical, ICU, and obstetric patientsRequired Qualifications:Board Certified or Board Eligible in RadiologyActive California medical licenseCompletion of Residency and/or Fellowship trainingCalifornia Fluoroscopy certification (required at submission)BLS and DEA (required during credentialing)NPDB self-query report dated within 30 days of presentationDemonstrated procedural competency and acute care imaging experienceAvailability at time of name clearTravel:Preferred hotel lodging accommodationsPrimarily local travel preferred
