Overview The Cardiologist will diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases such as heart attacks and coronary heart disease, and may specialize in areas including echocardiography, electrophysiology, nuclear cardiology, or interventional cardiology. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Provide high‑quality patient care and engage in ongoing education to stay current with new technologies and therapies. Examine patients, order and interpret diagnostic studies (ECG/EKG, chest X‑ray, ultrasound, blood tests) to determine the cause of cardiovascular problems. Develop individualized treatment plans, prescribe medication, and recommend surgical or other interventions when appropriate. Perform invasive cardiac procedures such as catheterization, coronary angiography, and arteriography with precision, ensuring patient safety. Conduct follow‑up evaluations after procedures or surgeries and adjust treatment plans as needed. Educate patients on heart‑healthy lifestyles and disease management. Execute other duties as assigned by management. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Expert understanding of cardiovascular physiology and related disorders. Proficiency with modern cardiac equipment and pharmaceuticals. Ability to perform and interpret specialized cardiac tests. Strong decision‑making skills in emergency situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Compassion, self‑motivation, and capacity to work long hours under pressure. Commitment to ongoing research and continuing education. Fluency in English. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA Board certification or eligibility in Cardiology (required). Board certification in Internal Medicine (preferred). Valid medical license and DEA license (required). BLS certification required; ACLS certification strongly preferred. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience with providers and clinical staff. Experience working in culturally and linguistically diverse settings. Experience in a managed care environment (preferred). Pay Range: $278,575 - $397,963 (base salary; compensation may vary with experience, location, and other factors, and may include bonuses or commissions).
