Job Details:Di An Di is an independent Vietnamese-American restaurant in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and we are looking for the right person to lead our kitchen team as the Chef de Cuisine . This is a hands-on role where you will lead the back-of-house operations and continue the ongoing success of the kitchen. What We’re Looking For: Proven CDC experience in NYC kitchens (minimum 3 years in a CDC role). A natural leader who motivates by teaching, guiding, and setting a standard for others. Curiosity and genuine interest in Vietnamese cuisine and culture . Strong technical skills across stations (garde mange, sauté, grill, fry, wok) and the ability to execute and train others consistently. Reliability and stability — able to commit to the needs of the business in regards to schedule. Values humility, empathy, and accountability; able to admit mistakes, grow from them, and foster a positive culture. Team-first mentality; thrives in an ego-free, drama-free kitchen . Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive in problem-solving. Able to illustrate an even and calm demeanor. Willing to learn existing recipes and processes and improve upon them as needed. Able to develop new recipes which are thoughtful, documented and costed out. Capable of holding the team accountable to DOH standards and the existing restaurant philosophy and culture.
