Description: Engineer I (Full-Time, Onsite only)Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm POSITION SUMMARY:Under the direction of the Director of Engineering, the Engineer I is responsible for the design, development and analysis of both new and existing hydraulic products.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Design and update for new and existing hydraulic products2. Generate working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstration3. Perform engineering calculations to support design work4. Develop testing processes, and perform testing and validation of new designs5. Work with Sales Managers with technical assistance is an integral part of the sales function6. Work with Operations to process Engineering Change Requests accurately and in a timely manner7. Act as Engineering liaison with other functional areas of the organization as needed to ensure accurate and expedient release of new product as well as changes to existing product8. Update and maintain JARP Industries, Inc. engineering specifications and standards9. Oversee and provide assistance to Designers to ensure products meet customer, manufacturing and safety standards10. Perform general cost analysis11. Perform customer relations functions such as telephone assistance, personal visits, troubleshooting and field assistance when necessary12. Participate in cross functional teams in support of JARP's lean initiativesMARGINAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Troubleshoot and provide assistance on the production floor as needed2. Assist customers on the phone as necessary3. Customer visits as required4. Help update and maintain customer files5. Help maintain the drawing files Requirements: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Four-year bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required with 0-7 years of work experienceLICENCES AND CERTIFICATIONS:Certified Fluid Power Hydraulic Specialist within one year of employmentQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:1. In-depth knowledge of SolidWorks 3D CAD software2. Professional work experience reviewing and analyzing prototypes and product modifications3. Extensive knowledge of metal fabrication processes4. Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes5. Understanding of current cutting tool technology6. Impeccable attention to detail7. Project development and leadership skills are essential8. Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively9. Knowledge in stress and analysis10. Familiar with various machining processes11. Working knowledge of hydraulics12. Good computer skills13.
