Position Summary Anesthesiologist opportunity with thriving anesthesia practice in Fayetteville, NC, at Cape Fear Medical Center. Position schedule: 26 weeks on / 26 weeks off. Facility Overview Cape Fear Valley Medical Center is part of Cape Fear Valley Health System, serving communities throughout southeastern North Carolina. The system includes multiple hospitals and medical clinics and serves approximately 1 million patients annually. Awards include the Healthgrades 2019 Cardiac Excellence Award and a five‑star recipient for coronary interventional procedures. Case Assignments Cardiac Pediatrics OB‑GYN General Plastics Urology Vascular Shift Schedule 26 weeks on / 26 weeks off. Monday‑Sunday, 7pm – 7am. Team Leadership Scott Everett, Chief Anesthesiologist. Team Model The anesthesia care team model emphasizes collaboration, respect, and shared decision‑making to deliver care excellence. Responsibilities Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department. Medical management of patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other procedures. Pre‑anesthesia assessment: obtain and verify patient consent, discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient. Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia. Monitoring of the patient’s physiological condition. Performance of clinical interventions as needed. Qualifications M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine. ECFMG and FLEX certification. Completion of approved residency in anesthesia. Current medical licensure. Compensation & Benefits Base compensation: $650K.
