About Cape Fear Valley Medical Center Cape Fear Valley Medical Center is part of the Cape Fear Valley Health System, a private, nonprofit healthcare network that serves communities throughout southeastern North Carolina. The system includes Betsy Johnson Hospital, Bladen County Hospital, Central Harnett Hospital, Highsmith‑Rainey Specialty Hospital, and Hoke Hospital, as well as behavioral health and rehabilitation services. Responsibilities Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department. Provide medical management for patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures. Conduct pre‑anesthesia assessments, obtain and verify patient consent, and discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients. Perform induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia. Monitor patients’ physiological conditions and perform clinical interventions as needed. Manage case assignments across Cardiac, Pediatrics, OB‑GYN, General, Plastics, Urology, and Vascular specialties. Qualifications M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine. ECFMG and FLEX certification. Completion of an approved anesthesia residency program. Valid physician license.
