This role involves using the nursing process to design, coordinate, and deliver care to meet the needs of patients undergoing operative procedures. The coordinator assists in directing daily activities, leading, planning, controlling, and evaluating nursing practices and operations for the specialty area. They serve as a clinical expert and resource for the specialty service, providing patient care to assigned patients, and acting as a role model and resource for colleagues, staff, patients, and students. Skills and Certifications Main Operating Room Experience Experience in General, Colorectal, or Bariatric Surgery Leadership Skills/Experience Ideal Candidate A circulating Registered Nurse with leadership skills who has worked in Acute Care Hospitals, Level 1 Trauma Centers, Academic Medical Centers, or High Volume Operating Departments.
