Cardiac Electrophysiologist Physician Scientist We are seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible cardiac electrophysiologist physician‑scientist to join our dynamic team in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Utah. The role offers an excellent opportunity to engage in clinical care, teaching, research, and scholarly activities within a leading academic medical center. Responsibilities Provide advanced catheter ablation for atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, including complex cases. Manage implantable cardioverter‑defibrillators (ICDs), pacemakers (traditional, lead‑less, and physiological systems) and perform device/lead extractions. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of electrophysiologists and advanced practice clinicians at the University Hospital and the George E. Wahlen Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Mentor ACGME Electrophysiology Fellows and Cardiovascular Disease Fellows. Participate in research projects and pursue scholarly activity, with research time available based on experience, funding and career goals. Engage in clinical academic career integrating teaching, expert clinical care, research, and scholarly endeavors. Qualifications Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Utah. Significant interest in clinical academic research; physician‑scientist track record preferred. Proficiency in catheter ablation and experience with ICDs, pacemakers and device extractions. Benefits Competitive compensation and benefits package.
