Job Summary Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) is expanding its collaborative Primary Care team at the Bainbridge Island location. The Primary Care physician role focuses on high‑quality care, teamwork, and relentless improvement of patient experience and outcomes. Responsibilities Team based approach: Virginia Mason has an innovative, collaborative practice approach. Clinical pharmacists, behavioral health consultants and other advanced practitioners work with physicians to provide comprehensive, coordinated care that achieves excellent health outcomes and patient satisfaction. Each provider is part of a pod that includes physicians, ARNP or PA’s, medical assistants and RN’s. The ARNP or PA supports the pod with a smaller patient panel and indirect‑care time, and built‑in coverage is available when a provider is out of the office. Flexible schedule options: We partner with you to develop a schedule that accommodates your individual needs as much as possible. Access to ancillary and specialty services: Referral options to a wide range of medical and surgical specialties throughout Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, with collegial and responsive outcomes. Teaching opportunities: VMFH is a teaching environment with regular opportunities to precept medical students and residents, and a conducive setting for new‑to‑practice physicians. Learning opportunities: The team has a teaching culture and a formal mentorship program to guide new providers to long‑term success. Innovation: VMFH promotes new approaches, best‑practice standards and continual improvement for patient and team member safety and experience using the Virginia Mason Production System. Compensation: $302,000 – $345,000 per year. Requirements BE/BC in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Ability to obtain a medical professional license in Washington State. Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority for specific practice. Commitment to safety, quality of care, and continuous, thoughtful improvement.
