Michigan State University Department of Family Medicine seeks applicants for the position of Assistant/Associate/Professor in the Health Programs Faculty Appointment System. This unique position allows the candidate to combine clinical practice in geriatrics with teaching and/or research. Faculty provide comprehensive geriatric care across the continuum—including outpatient, assisted living, and skilled nursing facilities throughout the Greater Lansing area—and faculty also teach medical students, residents, and fellows. The Department of Family Medicine is an active community of scholars committed to medical education, community health, and research. Faculty are supported in development as educators and scholars and have opportunities to collaborate on projects focused on the health of underserved communities. Required Degree Doctorate (MD or DO) in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics. Minimum Requirements MD/DO or equivalent. Board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine or recently completed an accredited residency program. Fellowship training in Geriatrics or significant experience caring for older adults along the continuum of care. Desired Qualifications Strong interest in medical education, primary care or educational research, and community engagement and outreach.
