This is a Full-time Days position. This position requires call and qualifies for competitive call differentials.A Lead Surgical Technologist in this role will support the ENT and Plastics service lines within the Main Operating Room while serving as a clinical resource and leader for the surgical team. This individual will assist during complex surgical procedures, maintain a sterile field, anticipate surgeon needs, ensure patient safety, and help promote efficient case flow and daily operations within the OR.As a Lead Surgical Technologist for the Main OR, your responsibilities and qualifications will include:Assisting physicians during ENT and Plastics surgical procedures while anticipating the needs of the surgeon throughout the caseAssembling, organizing, and maintaining sterile fields for operative proceduresSupporting workflow efficiency, room turnover, and overall coordination within the operating roomServing as a resource and mentor to Surgical Technologists and OR team members within the service lineEnsuring proper handling and disposition of surgical specimens and instrumentationCollaborating with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safetyAssisting with cleaning, stocking, and preparation of operating rooms and surgical equipment between proceduresMaintaining knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and specialty-specific equipment related to ENT and Plastics proceduresEducation & Credential Requirements:Vocational Degree RequiredCertified Surgical Technologist (CST) - NBSTSACertified Surgical Technologist (CST) - NBSTSATech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) NCCT - NCCTTech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) NCCT - NCCTBasic Life Support (BLS) RequiredThis Lead Surgical Technologist, Main OR position will be located at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville.
