Job Summary We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Infectious Disease Physician (MD/DO) to deliver on-site infectious disease consultative services in skilled nursing and long-term care settings. The physician will manage complex infections, oversee antimicrobial therapy, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and Advanced Practice Providers. Responsibilities Provide infectious disease consultations for SNF/LTC residents Diagnose and manage complex infections including pneumonia, UTIs, bacteremia, osteomyelitis, wound infections, HIV, and viral hepatitis Direct antimicrobial therapy including IV and oral regimens Order, interpret, and act upon cultures, labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies Lead and support antimicrobial stewardship initiatives Supervise and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and facility clinical staff Advise on infection prevention, isolation, and regulatory compliance Ensure accurate, timely EMR documentation in accordance with CMS and state requirements Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency Fellowship training in Infectious Disease preferred Active and unrestricted New York State medical license DEA registration Board Eligible or Board Certified in Infectious Disease Experience in SNF/LTC or post-acute care preferred Equal Opportunity Employer ESSEN HEALTH CARE IS PROUD TO BE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER Essen Health Care is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and we seek candidates who desire to work in and serve an ethnically diverse population. #J-18808-Ljbffr
