Tampa, FL area Opportunity for Primary Care physician to “float” amongst offices!! Opportunity is for Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Practice primary care physicians who would be willing to float. Float physicians work a full‑time schedule with full benefits under a standard employment contract. Floats cover offices in the Tampa Bay area where there is a schedule gap, Monday through Friday 8‑5. The work is clinician‑only (no hospital). Physicians see an average of 12‑15 mostly geriatric Medicare HMO patients per day. Assignments fill in for PTO, CME, maternity, or recruiting gaps. We try to keep floating providers within a reasonable commute from home—commuting times of 30‑45 minutes are common in the region. Many float physicians subsequently transition to a permanent location when one opens up that suits both parties. Floats may work at any office in the Tampa Bay area. Schedules are released a couple of weeks in advance to facilitate planning. Most physicians stay a full day at one office, but if needed they may spend additional days or move to another office.
