In this role, you will provide therapeutic area/product expertise for designated patients and partners across a broad range of external medical stakeholders (EMS) and initiatives in an assigned territory. Responsibilities Plan and execute independent medical strategies and engagements for external medical stakeholders within the territory, coordinating with Pfizer colleagues as needed. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of therapeutic area disease states and Pfizer medicines, providing accurate information to internal and external stakeholders. Serve as a conduit for medical information and external insights, sharing stakeholder viewpoints with Pfizer and providing requested data within Pfizer guidance. Collaborate on medical educational content strategy and execute aligned field medical tactics. Communicate science across live, virtual, written, and telephone channels, ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations. Optimize patient care improvement through health literacy and cultural awareness principles. Educate external stakeholders on patient care gaps to enhance understanding of disease state and guideline‑based care. Engage the appropriate number of external stakeholders as defined by leadership objectives. Lead advisory boards and manage inbound queries through the established triage process. Partner with global medical affairs and research & development to identify potential clinical trial sites, especially those serving under‑represented populations. Support investigator‑sponsored research (ISR) throughout the process and cultivate research expertise. Communicate with local patient advocacy groups and deliver insights on patient organization structures and needs. Mentor onboarding partners, study leads, and other new staff as required. Participate in special projects and cross‑functional committees as directed. Qualifications MD or DO degree required. Minimum 4+ years of relevant medical affairs or field medical experience. Demonstrated breadth of leadership experiences, including influencing peers, coaching, and guiding teams to achieve outcomes. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage conflict constructively. Experience managing multiple projects remotely and prioritizing effectively. Ability to work within a matrixed, multidisciplinary team to foster strong relationships with external stakeholders. Adaptability to change and agility in seizing new opportunities such as emerging therapeutic areas. Problem‑solving skills and enterprise‑wide networking to identify solutions. Self‑starter with accountability and a sense of urgency to deliver results that positively impact patient care. Clinical and technical competency relevant to the therapeutic area. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with internal and external SOPs, rules, and regulations governing medical stakeholder interactions. Previous field medical experience. Travel & Work Requirements Operational use of a company car and regular air travel (40–50% of time). Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record; DUI/DWI within the past 7 years results in disqualification. Resident of the assigned territory (e.g., NY).
