Mount Sinai Endocrinology - Medical Director for Pituitary Disorders Mount Sinai Health System seeks an Endocrinologist with a focus on Pituitary Disorders, at Mount Sinai Hospital. The Division of Endocrinology within the Department of Medicine is seeking a senior assistant or associate professor for the position of Medical Director of the Pituitary and Neuro‑Endocrinology Program. Primary objectives: Enhance and develop the existing Mount Sinai Pituitary Care Research Center into a "Pituitary Center of Excellence" in collaboration with neurosurgeons. Co‑lead the center with neurosurgical director Dr. Theodore H. Schwartz. Provide high‑quality care for a diverse patient population and contribute to research and teaching. Clinical expectations include but are not limited to: Develop a clinical practice at the Neurosurgery and Endocrine Faculty practice to care for patients with pituitary disorders and general endocrine disorders. Participate in the division on‑call rotation and provide endocrine inpatient care on a consultation basis as scheduled. Participate in clinically based quality improvement initiatives to improve the care of patients with endocrine diseases admitted to the hospital. Faculty expectations include but are not limited to: Assist with educational training of clinical fellows. Direct all educational activities in the area of pituitary diseases, including monthly multidisciplinary pituitary conferences and pilot student lectures. Participate in research and grant activities. Participate in other divisional clinical, educational, and research activities as directed by the Medical Directors and/or Division Chief. Responsibilities Specific clinical and research responsibilities will be determined based on the candidate's level of grant support. Protected time will be provided to lead the center. Additional expectations: attend departmental and division functions such as meetings, grand rounds, conferences, and retreats. Metrics: productivity (work RVUs per clinical FTE), physician‑related charge lag, and patient satisfaction. Maintain all necessary licensing and certifications, complete CME credits, and actively participate in academic activities. Occasionally participate in community outreach and collaborate with development, press, and other offices of Mount Sinai East. Additional Responsibilities Provide medical care in a high‑functioning outpatient environment. University affiliated; community‑based practice. Collaborate with multi‑specialty practice colleagues. Compensation Salary ranges from $239,000 to $267,000. Performance‑based bonuses, incentive compensation, and benefits are not included in the base salary. Salary Disclosure Mount Sinai Health System provides a salary range to comply with New York City law on salary transparency. Actual salaries depend on factors such as experience, specialty, productivity, and hospital community needs. Salaries may fall closer to one end of the range or exceed it.
