n/soto is a California inspired Japanese izakaya by Chef Niki Nakayama and Chef Carole Iida-Nakayama. We are currently seeking motivated line cooks with at least 2 years experience in fine dining kitchens to join our team. You will have the opportunity to learn about Japanese food and culture and work alongside an intimate team of highly motivated and passionate team players. We encourage our employees at N/Soto to be inquisitive and creative while also having fun in our work environment. Binchotan grilling and sushi experience are a big plus. Skills and Requirements: Minimum 2 years kitchen experience Attention to detail and organizational skills Exceptional work ethic Advanced knife skills Ability to multitask Ability to work cleanly and efficiently with a sense of urgency Has excellent time management skill Sense of responsibility towards team Works well in high pressure environments Great communication skills Takes feedback and criticism well, and has a desire to grow Must be willing to work weekends (Fri-Sun) and occassional holiday schedules We are open for regular dinner service Wed through Sun.
