Department: Emergency Medicine - School of Medicine Duties & Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care for pediatric emergency medicinepatients during overnight shifts Supervise and teach emergency medicine residents, pediatricresidents, and medical students Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmentalcommittees Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimalpatient outcomes Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation Participate in department meetings and educationalconferences Assist with trauma resuscitations and critical carestabilization Provide consultation to other departments as needed Required Qualifications: MD or DO degree from accredited institution Board certification in Emergency Medicine or Pediatric EmergencyMedicine Current Virginia medical license or ability to obtain Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification Completion of accredited Emergency Medicine or PediatricEmergency Medicine residency Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment ofrespect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty,staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or acommitment to do so as an employee at VCU Preferred Qualifications: Fellowship training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine Previous academic medical center experience Experience with electronic medical records Research experience or publications Teaching experience with residents and medical students Rank: Open Tenure: Ineligible Contact Information Contact Name: Sharlene ShannonContact Email: #J-18808-Ljbffr
