Description: Job Title: Pool SupervisorDepartment: South Troy PoolsLocation: Troy, NYCompensation: $23-$25Hours & Schedule: Seasonal 20-30 hours, weekend may varyOverview of Your RoleAs Pool Supervisor for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all pool patrons by monitoring the pool area and responding promptly and effectively to any incidents or emergencies. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized environment in and around the pool, providing swim lessons and swim team coaching, and treating the pool with the appropriate concentration of chemicals on a regular schedule.KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):Ensure rotations are being enforced in appropriate timeframesProviding adequate emergency and first aid responseOversee daily operation of the swimming pool, ensuring that it is clean, safe, and well-maintained.Ensure appropriate coverage for all areas of the pool and properties during operational hours and transitions to nightly securityEnsure compliance and safety of all regulations, expectations, and laws to ensure a positive and safe community environment,including management of the lifeguard team, pool attendant team, and additional supports as needed. Requirements: CREDENTIALS, SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:High School Diploma or GED equivalentCurrent and valid American Red Cross Lifeguard CertificationFirst Aid and CPR certificationsExperience teaching swim lessons or coaching swim team is highly desirableAt least 2 years' of aquatic experience preferredAbility to pass a pre-employment practical skills test in the waterFlexible schedule required, including weekends and holidaysPhysical Demands:Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of timeMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 poundsMust be able to work in outdoor environments in a variety of weather conditionsSuccessful applicants who require (re)certifications are welcome to come on board with applicable stipulations.Compensation details: 23-25 Hourly WagePIfd1d28252cbb-9819
