We believe that our strength resides in our differences and in connecting our best to provide community-connected healthcare for all.EOE: Race/Color/Sex/Sexual Orientation/ Gender Identity/Religion/National Origin/Disability/Vets, VEVRRA Federal Contractor.The purpose of this job is to provide quality, appropriate and cost effective medical care for patients.What you will do:Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining and treating of clinical patients in order to meet their medical needsEducates patients on wellness, prevention and early detection by providing materials and resources to the patients and familiesShares health care duties of patients with other physicians to ensure the availability of a physician at all times.Determines which referrals are required based on examination and patient needsDetermines level of urgency of follow-up, referral/consultation appointmentsExercises final medical judgment in all issues of health carePrescribes medical treatment and clinical drugs to patientsOrders studies, test and ancillary servicesDocuments all services in patient medical recordReviews on a regular basis long term cases that require ongoing medical attentionConsults with Medical Director and other professionals on staff as needed regarding patient care, assessment, and education issuesParticipates in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient care programs established by the hospital or clinic requirementsOversees mid-level medical staff as assigned as well as nursing clinical staffAssists in the resolution of complaints, requests and inquiries from patientsMaintains confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulationsParticipates in teaching sessions for other hospital and medical staff, residents and/or medical students as assigned.Salary range: $450,112- $873,108.
