Orthopedic Trauma Surgery Locum Tenens OpportunityPosition OverviewPalm Health is actively seeking a Board-Certified, fellowship-trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon for ongoing locum tenens coverage at a Level II Trauma Center in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment. This role focuses on orthopedic trauma surgery with a strong emphasis on emergency and inpatient fracture care, including complex trauma cases.This is a long-term, ongoing need with flexible monthly scheduling and strong surgical support.Clinical Responsibilities24-hour orthopedic trauma call coverage (in-house supported, 7a7a shifts)Management of all orthopedic trauma and emergency casesSurgical treatment of complex fractures, including pelvis and acetabulumBread-and-butter hand trauma coverageInpatient consults and operative trauma managementCombination of call coverage and clinic responsibilities as neededCollaboration with advanced practice providers available 24/7Schedule & Coverage24-hour call shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 AM)Ongoing coverage needApproximately 27+ shifts per month depending on availabilityRequired QualificationsBoard Certified in Orthopedic Surgery (required)Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery (required)Active state medical license (or willingness to obtain)DEA and CSR (as required by assignment state)Clean malpractice history required (no exceptions)Candidates must have clean credentialing files to qualify for temp/emergency privilegesCredentialingEstimated timeframe: 6090 daysAbout Palm Health ResourcesPalm Health Resources is a national healthcare staffing and recruitment firm specializing in locum tenens and permanent placement across multiple specialties.
