Medical Oncologist – Boston Medical Center South (Brockton, MA) Summary Boston Medical Center South (BMC South), a member of the Boston Medical Center Health System, is seeking a Board‑Certified/Board‑Eligible Medical Oncologist to join our multidisciplinary oncology team. This physician will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered cancer care in a community‑based setting closely integrated with an academic medical center. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care to adult oncology patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of cancer and treatment‑related conditions. Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies. Conduct new patient consultations and follow‑up visits, including assessment of treatment response and toxicity management. Collaborate closely with radiation oncology, surgical oncology, infusion services, palliative care, and ancillary teams. Interpret diagnostic testing, including imaging, pathology, and laboratory data. Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and case conferences. Supervise and collaborate with advanced practice providers (NPs/PAs) and trainees. Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, and goals of care. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical program development, and potential research activities. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology. Completion of an ACGME‑accredited Internal Medicine residency and Hematology/Oncology fellowship. Eligibility for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. DEA registration (or eligibility). Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient‑centered care. Preferred: Experience in community‑based oncology practice. Interest in program development, quality improvement, or clinical research. Preferred: Bilingual skills (highly valued given patient population).
