Your future role at a glance Location: Panama City, FL Facility: Ascension Sacred Heart Bay Department: Operating Room Schedule: Weekend Option | Part-time | Saturday and Sunday | 7am - 7pm How you'll make an impact in this role Lead daily operating room workflow and staffing coordination to ensure safe patient care, efficient case flow, and appropriate team coverage throughout the shift. Assign, support, and mentor nursing and support staff while fostering collaboration, accountability, and high clinical standards across the surgical team. Assess patient care needs and coordinate assignments strategically to ensure quality, population-appropriate care for surgical patients across varying levels of acuity. Monitor patient outcomes and address care concerns proactively to support patient safety, service excellence, and continuous quality improvement. Partner with leadership on staff development, training, and performance feedback to help build a strong, engaged Operating Room team. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education: Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required. What additional requirements you'll need Prior Charge Nurse experience. Minimum 3 years of OR experience.
