The Nursing Director – Surgical Services (Director of Perioperative Services) is accountable for the clinical, operational, and fiscal performance of all designated perioperative units. This executive-level leader partners with hospital leadership, physicians, and frontline teams to ensure safe, high-quality surgical care while advancing operational excellence and strategic goals. Position Overview This Director is responsible for executing short- and long-term strategies aligned with organizational priorities while ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards of clinical care. The role maintains full accountability for staffing, quality, safety, service, financial performance, and overall clinical excellence within Surgical Services. The Director also supports clinical managers through Evidence-Based Leadership practices, strengthens nursing professional practice, and serves as an administrative resource for physician and patient concerns.
